Terms of Service
Last updated: June 3, 2026
These terms govern your use of homepassport.ca and any service we provide under the HomePassport name. By using the site or submitting an application, you agree to them.
[REVIEW WITH COUNSEL] Final binding language to be confirmed by Canadian counsel before public launch.
What HomePassport is
HomePassport is a private membership service for premium detached homes. It is not a home inspection, not insurance, and not a financial product. We do not carry the risk of repair, and we do not guarantee outcomes. Membership buys oversight, coordination, and priority access.
Applications and eligibility
Submitting an application does not create a membership. We review applications carefully and respond personally. We may decline any application at our discretion, including for fit, capacity, or geography.
Fees and trade work
Membership is billed at a flat fee disclosed before you sign. On any trade or repair work we coordinate, you pay the trade directly at a negotiated member rate, and a management fee is shown on every estimate. Parts and labour are not included in the membership fee.
Your record
The home's verified record is yours. It is yours to keep, yours to share, and it travels with the home if you sell. We act as custodians; we do not claim ownership of the record's contents.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the site lawfully, not to attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours, and not to misuse the application form (for example, with false information or automated submissions).
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HomePassport is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the fees you have paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Termination
You may end your membership at any time, in writing. We may end a membership for cause, or with reasonable notice. On termination, you retain your record.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated to members directly.
