    Privacy Policy

    Last updated: June 3, 2026

HomePassport is a private membership for premium detached homes in Vancouver. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect, how we use it, and the control you have over it. It is written to align with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the Personal Information Protection Act of British Columbia (PIPA).

[REVIEW WITH COUNSEL] Final binding language to be confirmed by Canadian privacy counsel before public launch.

    What we collect

We collect only what is needed to assess eligibility, service the home, and improve our foresight. This typically includes:

    • ·Contact information you provide: name, email, phone, neighbourhood.
    • ·Home information: address, age, size, condition notes, service history, and documents you choose to upload.
    • ·Records of work coordinated through us: estimates, invoices, photographs, inspection reports.
    • ·Account and access logs needed to keep your record secure.

    How we use it

We use your information to look after your home, to coordinate trades on your behalf, to build the verified record that travels with the property, and to sharpen the foresight we offer members. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell your data.

    Who sees it

Your record is yours. We share information only with your explicit consent, and only with the parties needed to deliver the service: vetted trades for a specific job, an arm's-length inspector for a pre-listing report, or a buyer or realtor when you decide to share the record at sale. A small number of service providers (such as our hosting and email infrastructure) process data on our behalf under written confidentiality.

    How long we keep it

We retain your information for as long as your membership is active and for a reasonable period afterward, to support the integrity of the home's record for future owners and to meet our legal obligations. You may request earlier deletion of any information that we are not required to retain.

    Your rights

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, and to withdraw consent or request deletion, subject to legal limits. To make a request, contact us at the address below. We will respond within thirty days.

    Security

Information is held on infrastructure protected by access controls, encryption in transit, and regular review. No system is perfect; if a material breach affects your information, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as required.

    Children

HomePassport is intended for adult homeowners. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of majority.

    Changes

If we change this policy in a material way, we will update the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, contact members directly.

    Contact

Questions, access requests, or complaints can be sent to info@homepassport.ca. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
